Lovely spot, coffee, and staff! The ham and cheese croissant was super yummy. Great music as well :)
Reply to KV coffee co. shop: Hi guys, I do my reviews on my personal experience and I have no hesitation to speak the truth or have no intention to hurt your business. Having coffee in KV shop was average experience. Coffee was good, iced chocolate was amazing, toast was amazing and banana bread ok. For that I'm giving you 5 ☆. Service was bit slow and nothing special, girl was polite at the counter which was highly appreciated but coffee with 2 toasties took around 20 min to get out and there was couple of people in there... this is not complaint by the way just my opinion on 5☆ service, honestly even 4☆ was bit high but you were polite so reward for it is 4 stars from me. Atmosphere was 1. Messy backyard and nothing appealing in my opinion. But again you guys did your best and considering $30.00 for 2 coffees and 2 ham and cheese and banana bread toasted I gave you 3 stars review. You doing well and if I go through I'd go back to have coffee at your shop. I hope you put little more effort in your coffee shop look and just bit more service effort. No arrogance here but honest personal experience.
Ok Coffee. Best in town are the reviews but mine was slightly bitter. Still good, im just a cussy funt when it comes to coffee.
Darling little find! Delightful coffee with a small range of rustic eats.
I would have loved to give this place 5 stars. The setting is cool — cozy coffee, a warm fire pit, and one of the staff members was genuinely kind and welcoming. It felt like the perfect little stop in charming Kangaroo Valley to walk in with my 2 babies. But unfortunately, not all staff reflect that same warmth When I asked if they had any gluten-free banana bread or other gluten-free options, the staff member wearing glasses replied: “You can eat cardboard — that’s gluten free.” I was honestly speechless. Gluten-free eating is not a trend or a joke. I follow a gluten-free diet for health reasons, not by choice, and that comment felt incredibly dismissive, hurtful, cruel, and completely out of line. When I later mentioned how upsetting it was to her colleague (the lovely one), the staff member with glasses overheard and said it was “just a joke” — and laughed out loud about it. But living with dietary restrictions isn’t a joke — it’s something many of us manage every single day, often quietly and with great effort. I actually feel sorry for her. She really should take the time to educate herself — avoiding gluten doesn’t mean someone is doomed to eat cardboard. If she personally enjoys chewing inedible items like cardboard, I respect that, some people do have peculiar offbeat craving — but it’s certainly not my case. Her words reflected not only a lack of education, but a lack of ethical standards and moral principles: respect, care, empathy and professionalism. I truly hope the community doesn’t accept this kind of behaviour in their local coffee shop. It’s unacceptable — and completely out of step with the warmth and care that I thought make Kangaroo Valley so special. If you visit this coffe shop, be aware of the unrespectul staff member with glasses. And to the café owners: be aware of how your staff member truly treat your customers. I hope your future team truly reflects the values of your cozy café, respect, empathy, and genuine care for every guest who walks through your door.
