Sophia's

It was date night, and we went out for a few drinks expecting a proper cocktail bar experience. Being Valentine’s Day, I anticipated a relaxed atmosphere with low lighting, soft music, and enough staff to handle a busy night. Unfortunately, the venue was the complete opposite. The lighting was bright, a DJ was playing very loud music, and there were only three staff working the bar. We waited over an hour for a single cocktail, which was extremely frustrating. The overall vibe felt more like a brightly lit RSL lounge than a place to unwind or enjoy a romantic night out. Very disappointing and not somewhere I’d choose for a quiet evening.

Attended Sarinos for Valentine's day dinner. Spent approximately $400 on dinner. Sophia's is marketed as part of the Sarino's experience, specializing in cocktails, whiskey, and entertainment. Went upstairs to Sophia's for after dinner cocktails and immediately ordered two cocktails. Waited almost 1.5 hours and drinks never arrived even though we reminded three different staff members whilst waiting that we were waiting. Each time they would say, the drinks are coming. We eventually left without having a drink and whilst leaving, the staff member who took our order asked "How were your drinks?"..... I told him they never arrived so we were leaving and he saw the disappointment on my face. I understand it was valentine's day and it was busy, however in that time we would have at least had 4 cocktails each and Sophia's would have made an extra $200.... The male staff member did offer us a free drink downstairs to make up for the poor lack of service. I refused the offer because we attended the cocktail lounge upstairs, that is where we wanted to enjoy our drinks, not downstairs at the quiet bar in the restaurant. We ended up going around the corner to the Fiddler at Rouse Hill where it was really busy, great atmosphere and no issues to get drinks at all. They wanted our money and got it. Very disappointing and dissatisfied with Sophia's and unfortunately will not return and will recommend friends to go to Fiddler instead if they actually want service and a drink. Such a shame because it was Valentine's day and we expected the venue to be able to step up and provide service. Never would have imagined that I would leave a cocktail lounge thirsty...... Unacceptable.

Had a wonderful night there. The only disappointment was the lack of service / waiting for drinks for over an hr. I get your busy and understaffed, but someone should of made the decision on the fly to say no table service, order & collect at the bar. People would be understanding then be frustrated with the long excessive wait times. In the end they called for more staff from Bella Vista, Courtney was great. Would come back again despite of the slow service experienced. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars was due to the long slow service.

We went for a girls night at Sophia's. It was a lovely experience. Chad, the waiter was friendly, helpful and offered useful suggestions. The dancers were fluid and graceful. They were lovely. I would highly recommend for drinks/cocktails and finger food. The only suggestion I have is for them to include a few vegan food options.

We had such a brilliant night at Sophia’s. The staff were all so incredible - friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it.
