What people say
Sonoma Bakery Glebe is consistently excellent. The space has a relaxed, warm feel, and the staff are friendly without trying too hard. Their sourdough is the standout. It has that proper crust and depth of flavor that tells you it’s been made with care. The pastries are fresh and not overly sweet, especially the almond croissant which is one of the best in Sydney. Coffee is smooth and made well every time. It’s the kind of place you can drop into for a quick takeaway loaf or sit and enjoy a quiet breakfast. Always dependable and always good quality.
I've always bought quiche lorraine (every Saturday and Sunday) but have noticed in the past month or so that the pastry casing is not flakey and melt in your mouth as it used to be but is actually a thick layer of flour and the sides are hard.
I bought a linseed, soy and sesame seeds bread loaf and it's delicious! I'm from Germany and you know we love a good bread. And this one is so tasty! It's a bit pricey but I'm happy that I found this bakery. Whenever I am back in Sydney I'll come back.
Great bread, pastries, and coffee. Shop is very small, but they make it work. Make sure you get in before at least 1pm or else pretty much everything will be gone.
Had breakfast and takeaway lunch on different days. Got almond croissant, morning bun, and selection of sandwich (ham, cheese, toastie and one other forgot the name) but everything was delicious. The latte was great too (and this comment came from Melbournian)
