Wine Country Tourist Park Hunter Valley is a park in Nulkaba where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
We stayed 2 nights in the pet friendly cabin, which had the most comfortable queen bed & divine microsoft sheets for warmth on winter nights, plus warm bedding. The cabin was very clean & had all we needed for our stay, with a good sized fridge & utilities. There was a wonderful supply of hot water for showers & fluffy soft towels. Air con worked beautifully. It was a petite cabin located at the rear of the park so very quiet. The location was terrific as a short walking distance to cafe Simply Devine & the Brewery hotel & restaurant & yummy pie shop on the corner, plus of course a short drive to various wineries & Cessnock shops. The manager Kylie & staff Jade & Luke were very hospitable & welcoming. Also there were nice walks for doggies in the well kept grounds. The price was excellent too. Thanks Kylie & staff for a great stay. Thank you very much! Janine
Stayed in studio cabin, well appointed, clean tidy and had all the basics. Great communal kitchen, bbq with plenty of comfy seats and tables. Kitchen had all you would need to cook up a meal, heat up good basic stores of oil, condiments too. A woodfired pizza oven and great fire pit. Will definitely stay again. Close to Potters Brewery and wineries, and also to the local shops -great central location
We originally booked in February, but due to personal circumstances we had to rebook our trip to May. The staff kindly and happily changed our booking for us. We arrived at the caravan park around 4:30 pm and were able to check in straight away. The staff member who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. Although the campground itself was relatively tinyl, it was extremely well maintained. We stayed for two nights on a tent site and had a wonderful time. The bathrooms and showers were spotless, and we made great use of the camp kitchen and facilities including the oven, fridge, and cooktop. There was also a pizza oven, but unfortunately we didn’t know about it beforehand so we missed the chance to make pizza! If we visit again, we would definitely love to try it. The fire pit was shared by guests, and the staff lit the fire every evening, which created a lovely atmosphere. The location was also great — most major wineries were only about a 15-minute drive away. On our second morning, we visited a nearby winery at sunrise and were able to watch the air balloons taking off while seeing lots of kangaroos nearby. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing camping experience. And finally, thank you to the staff member who recommended wineries to us — we really appreciated it!
We stayed three nights at this small well kept and clean family owned caravan park. The sites are well marked and of generous size and there is a great camp kitchen and fire pit. The park is close to the wineries and over the road from the brewery. Thank you to Kylie and the team for a relaxing stay.
Nice shady small park at a reasonable price. However there are a few negatives. It is bounded by very busy roads (constant cars, trucks, buses) and next to a school with kids screaming before school starts, on their breaks, and after school. The school also has a very loud megaphone announcing all sorts of random things at random times. Not what you would call a serene caravan park! The amenities are old. Broken paving, crumbling walls, ratty sheds, tiny dump point with a glass saucepan lid for a cover (took as a while to find it, it's hidden in the bushes next to the amenities block). Showers very retro, more shabby than cute, and why o why don't they have even 1 hook to hang your things on? They were being cleaned so we had to use the disabled shower - it has no wall hooks, shelf, or even a chair, so I put my things on the bin, awkward and not very higenic. There is no shower curtain so of course water goes everywhere. And then there are multiple signs wanting us to clean the floors and not use the shower for more than 5 mins as it's a drought? I'm sorry but we are paying good money to stay here, and we have to mop the floors! And as for the so called water restrictions, we watched a staff member use a water blaster for over half an hour to clean some paving, a bucket and a sponge would have been much more water wise. Friendly helpful service on the phone.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
