Parking at the top of the lookout and also plenty of parking at the surf club. Beautiful views of the cliff faces and a staircase to access the beach. There are pathways to be accessible but not beyond the seated area. Worth looking over the edge to the water and beaches below. The path along the cliff top comes out to a picturesque outlook. No facilities or picnic tables here but plenty down in the park on the beach.
Fantastic views of the beach and caves. Good car park with ample parking. Limited sitting space and no public bathrooms, but I believe they’re at the nearby surf club.
The Caves Beach Lookout is a hidden gem at the southern end of the beach. The clifftop views of the coastline, rock platform and caves below are absolutely stunning — well worth the short climb up the stairs. On a clear day you can see the whole stretch of beach and even spot coal ships anchored out in the Pacific. A perfect spot to sit and take it all in while waiting for the tide to go out before exploring the caves. Easy to get to and free — can't ask for more!
What a beautiful viewpoint! Unfortunately, when I arrived, the tide was high and I wasn't able to walk around in that rocky beach area. Next time, though. Today's sea is pink!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
