Completely fenced playground with shade sails, a good sized grassy area, and a basketball court. It's a very popular/busy playground, frequented by babies, toddlers, schools, and teens, depending on the time of day. Dogs are allowed in the park if kept on a lead and away from the kids playground. There's bags and bins for picking up after your dog. The closest coffee shops are The Carpenter and The Carousel (both do great takeaway coffee). The closest public toilets are in the MarketPlace shopping centre.

Slippery dip, swings, all ability see saw, climbing ropes all under a shade cloth. Also a basketball hoop on the right with green area. The park is gated which is great for supervising kids. Fairly new park. The only downside today was a dog poop next to the bench park seat. No toilets or bbq facilities. Close by to the carpenter cafe for coffee.

A pleasant small park close to Leichhardt Marketplace and on Flood Street that, not very futher on, takes you to a major Inner-West park just across Parramatta Road: Petersham Park. I tend to agree with all the strongly favourable reviews and the reasons given, but would just temper them with some observations. A children's play equipment area, in fairness excellently designed and maintained, seems to be a nearly universal element of a small, medium or large sized park in the Inner-west Council area, so the one here does not raise the park to any special level. Very nearby there is one at Lambert Park; and Petersham Park with adjoining toilets and for good measure public pool. Some groups are not so very well catered for by the local parks; especially the elderly beyond a bench seat - sometimes with cover, sometimes not. Second, apart from the children's play equipment area, there isn't much to the park aside from open ground and a basketball court. Also exceedingly popular with Inner-West modern park design, be it a court, of part court, or just a hoop with a paved surround, basketball is not the ideal companion activity for someone using the park - any park - for a quiet rest, read or relax. Given certain aspects of the park, some garden beds devoted to bush-tucker plants with interpretation, perhaps within broader sensory garden of flowering natives plants and activities features, would be preferable to more basketball facilities. I appreciate that catering for ages 3 - 16 is catering for a range of ages, but still... Not lit of a night at all; which may be a positive for nocturnal native birds and small native animals - though there is not much in this park to attract them. The bins which are not emptied often enough attract flies, but it's just not the same. So, 4 or 5 stars as a children's playground. As a small park that could cater more broadly to a wider group of locals, some tempered enthusiasm. I know my photographs are not much to write home about, or for that matter to Google Maps about, but that is sort of my point.

Nice little park hidden away, but can get quite full with locals and visitors especially on the weekends. Toilets are not close and can be difficult if you have a young child. Great playground that kids of all ages can enjoy.

Nice gated Park, good range of equipment. Sometimes people let their dogs off their leads which can be frustrating with small children
