White Cockatoo Hotel

Had a really great time at White Cockatoo Hotel. Honestly one of the nicest looking pubs in Petersham, the whole vibe is super well done without feeling over the top. The pool table room is fab, such a cool space to hang out in. Service was awesome too, the crew here are always friendly and make you feel looked after. Food was really yummy overall, only thing I’d say is I wish there were a few more steak options on the menu, that would take it to the next level. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

I had high expectations for The Petersham because the venue itself is lovely, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting. 🥲The chicken schnitzel was very thin and lacked flavor, and the chips were equally disappointing. The side salad was nothing special either. We also tried the ricotta and pear starter, which we expected to be sweet, but it was quite a letdown. To top it off, the brisket lasagna was nothing surprising. It’s a nice spot for a drink, but I wouldn't come back for the food💔

After enjoying the new Green Trail our group enjoyed a recovery session at the White Cockatoo Hotel. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food portions generous. The beer jugs well well priced and the service pleasant.

Super charming pub. The staff are really welcoming and friendly (both the bar and food staff were excellent). Drink selection looks good and this place has all the old-worldly charm you'd expect at a good local, full of happy locals. Will head back for a meal very soon!
