Blackmore Oval is a sports oval at Leichhardt with a cafe, a playground, toilets and parking. Dogs are allowed off-leash when organised sport is not in progress, on-leash at other times, under effective control. It gives plenty of room for a run on quieter days. A handy off-leash oval, best outside sport times.

The sporting ground area of Blackmore Oval is off-leash at all times except during organised sporting games, training and events, when dogs must be on a leash. Dogs must be on a leash outside the sporting ground area.

Parking can be a problem on game days , so go a little earlier if you can. We love it because it's got an indoor area where you can either watch a game from indoors or watch training from indoors . There is also an outdoor undercover area.

The actual oval isn't the best field. There is only one field and for teams to warm up they have to do so on the other side or close to the field. The Leichardt club is a nice place and you can tell it is very community focused with their volunteers. Walking down from the oval you are able to go to the leash free dog zone and the dog Cafe. The surrounding sports facilities and walking areas are well maintained.

Quite a good place for regular exercise. I walk through here 3 times a week at night for my regular walking among other places. I like the little outdoor Gym settings they have. I stop and use them for half an hour or so each time and they actually are making a difference, especially to my upper body and arms. I recommend this park for regular activities
