Elsie's is a cafe in Glenbrook. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed. It's best to check with the venue before visiting with your dog. Just 150m away, Glenbrook Park is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
Best cafe in Glenbrook by far!! Healthy options bursting with flavour, such a great addition to the neighbourhood. The Shakshuka was the best we have ever had anywhere. Also love some of the Asian influence in flavours on the menu - such a welcome change from your stock standard cafe menu
LOVE this place. It’s a lovely little local cafe that is very reasonably priced and the staff are just so friendly. Would highly recommend the honey cake and the chocolate chip cookies (I am actually addicted).
So we popped in after the markets at Glenbrook, and were going to have a bite to eat before a later lunch.. Very warmly welcomed by Alison, And another young girl whose name I didn’t catch. Lovely coffees and a lovely big pot of tea.. And because we weren’t hugely hungry, we just ordered an apple and raisin toast with whipped ricotta honey and nuts… Thinking that it would be just one piece, but no, it was two large pieces… and it was absolutely delicious… There’ll be no lunch for us because we were Absolutely full. Very nice premises on a lovely day and great staff and great food. I will definitely go back..
Pros, beautiful food and coffee. Also both tasted great. Cons, the price for the food was not really justifiable for the size in the slightest. $30 for smoked salmon on toast with extra hash brown is crazy. Was hoping there would be at least two toasts included but when only one came out, for that price, super unimpressed.
Elsie's is the newest cafe in Glenbrook and is located where the restaurant Star of India used to be situated. Elsie's has an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch options. Elsie's also sells a range of Tuga Pastries, cakes such as honey cake and pandan cake and muffins. For the food we ordered the Hotcakes which contained Banana, Honeycomb Ice-Cream and Maple Syrup and a side of bacon and hashbrowns, apple and currant toast with butter and the kids hotcakes. For the drinks we ordered the house made hot chocolate and long black. The hotcakes tasted so delicious and not too sweet, the hotcakes were golden brown, fluffy and cooked perfectly. The side of bacon and crispy hash brown was so good. Hubs said the apple and currant toast was yummy. My son loved his kids hotcakes. The hotcakes were one of the best hotcakes that I've ever eaten. The house made hot chocolate was chocolatey and frothed to perfection. The hot chocolate is made with 55% Callebaut Belgian Dark Chocolate. Hubs loved the long black coffee. Overall we loved Elsie's, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. Elsie's is my new favourite cafe in Glenbrook.
