Cafe Dougie

Great cafe on Bourke across from the Carrington Hotel. Parking is easy to find on the street. We sat outside as there was 4 of us and a dog. Service was friendly and quick even for a busy Sunday morning. The menu has many good options. We went with Chilli scrambled eggs and the avocado on toast (which also has a good chilli kick!) Food was very good and so were the coffees. Plus they sell Butterboy cookies so what is not to love! Highly recommended

Food and coffee are very delicious. I wanted my avocado sandwich never finished :) and staff is so friendly like family, special thanks to Laura for caring. + ah yes, nice cozy interior. Highly recommend.

Came here for lunch to meet our friends who live close by - this is their local and already that day they had been there twice already! Which I personally think says a lot about a place. Cafe has a small amount of seating outside and as it was a nice day we were happy to wait a few mins to grab one which was perfect. The staff are super friendly and efficient and were quick to bring menus, take drink and lunch orders. I had the schnitty schnitty bang bang sandwich which was yummy! Freshly made and quite a big portion! Needed a wee bit more sauce / dressing as it was a bit dry but I overall really enjoyed. My friend had the chicken toastie which looked yummy as did the fried chicken burger. The cafe is a little away from the main drag on Bourke st which is quite good as it’s not crazy busy jbut also reasonably close to the metro. Would recommend

My experience at Cafe Dougie was truly excellent. The bacon and egg roll was delicious and well balanced. The coffee (also exquisite) and food came quickly and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this cafe!!

In Sydney for one night and decided to check out Dougie because they use Zest Coffee. We ordered the granola and the schnitty bang bang and a chicken schnitzel breakfast option on a menu is always a good idea and this schnitzel did not disappoint. Moist and crunchy, absolutely gorgeous. The red juice was also nice and gingery which we wanted! For coffee we ordered double espresso on the house blend. It was smooth and tasty, delicious! The service was exceptional with one legend running the busy floor, we were attended to quickly and with a smile. Also grabbed a batch brew on the single origin (Colombian) to take away that was real tasty. 10/10 all round and we will definitely be back!
