I’ve tried a few items from here and have only gone back to try other items but think I’m done now. This round was basque cheesecake, alfajor and chocolate chip cookie. Basque cheesecake was great! If craving one and around the area I’d go back there. The alfajor was a sham a the cookie below average.
Our visit was initially underwhelming as there was no welcome from the staff, and they served another person that walked in after whilst ignoring us… and then we ordered and it was a weird experience with not great customer service. I was originally disappointed until we were served by a lady named Liz, she has spot on service and we will recommend this place thanks to her and her service skills! The food was delicious but she made us feel welcomed and important, humble is lucky to have her 🩷
I went today and was greeted lovely by the lady at the front. It was all going good on a relaxing Sunday. However, the girl that was serving was making me very uncomfortable. When she brought my food and drink she put it on the table without saying a word. Very weird. Second time same, third time she cleared my plates without saying a single word or smiling and it was very delayed, while offering more prompt service to certain clients. Clearly favouritism. Unfortunately she doesn't encompass the values of "humble". The food however tasted amazing and the coffee was top class too.
Everything looked delicious! Amazing selection it was hard to choose, I got the fougasse with olives and gruyère and loved it. I’ll definitely be back to try something else when I’m next in Sydney
Came Saturday morning and was relatively busy but line moved quick. Lots of tables to sit at and service was good. The carrot cake was really delicious and the sausage roll was good too. Pastry done well. Would lovs to see some more creative items tho. Would recommend if you are in the area but definitely don't need to go out of your way to visit
