North Avoca Beach gives dogs a proper stretch of sand and water to enjoy, with a designated off-leash area that feels open, relaxed and easygoing. It's the kind of beach where dogs can run, swim, chase a ball and shake off afterwards, without the busier feel of some larger coastal spots.
Designated off-leash dog area. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Check council signage for hours and boundaries. (Source: Central Coast Council.)
Great waves but a little rough for the little ones, watch the stingers. Patrolled beach by the North Avoca SLSC with a swim between the flags area. Sand and views are quite picture perfect with adequate parking at the SLSC. Waves themselves were a little too rough for my children but the adults were having a ball. Waves are pretty unrelenting so you should be a reasonable swimmer to swim here. Signs were out for Marine stingers as well. Water refill station for the drink bottles in the car park too.
Nice walk.Sand has a dark yellow colour.Plenty of people fishing from the sand and rocks.People fishing off the beach you have to walk around their rods.Mamy people playing ball games with their dogs.
Not busy beach, dogs free here. Clean and beautiful sea. Just drive here will take a little while, but all worth it.
Best beach to swim for beginners. Beaches Australia pull very hard and it's not easy. Therefore this one is suitable for beginners but still being careful is better than drinking heaps of salt water
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
