Esplanade Park

Esplanade Park is a shaded grass area at Fairlight which has rock pools and harbour swimming without the crowds. Unfortunately, parking is a nightmare, so be prepared for a walk. If you are lucky, you may see some fairy penguins ducking and weaving amongst the rolling swell or some inquisitive dolphins who have come to sightsee. Kid friendly.

Good swimming enclosure and a great beachside promenade. The back of the beach is shaded later in the day by the huge Norfolk island Pines, making it great for picnics on the benches. Instant access off the wharf make it a favourite for weekend visitors. The beach itself is cleaned every day making it a super-safe place for kids. Parking is on road and limited until the evenings. There is a shower toward the west end of the beach if required.

Between Federation point and Delwood Beach is this great little park area with a walking path down the middle. There are some chairs there to sit and take in the stunning views of Sydney Harbour.
