Patonga Beach is a dog-friendly beach in Patonga with an off-leash area where dogs can run along the sand. There's calm, shallow water here too, which is great for puppies or dogs that prefer gentler conditions. Just 450m away, Patonga Foreshore Reserve is a nearby option to stop in after your walk.
Listed on the Central Coast Council off-leash dog areas page. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. Check council signage for hours, boundaries, and any time restrictions.
I've been visiting Patonga for decades, very relaxed and quiet area. The hotel food is enjoyable and reasonably priced. We took our dog with us this time, a large section of the beach is an off leash dog beach. Very much worth visiting.
Scenic beach surrounded by green hills. However, the water is very murky so, I don't recommend swimming.
Very quiet and calm beach with shops and toilets near by. Looks like they have a water taxi service that goes to Palm beach regularly.
by the water where you can see boats and have a quick dip in the lovely cool waters and has parking and close to a place to eat. not the best idea for small child under age of 5 years old cause can easily run off and jump in water since no rails or fences to stop small children so unsafe if not being watched
A very nice beach with plenty of parking. There was no parking fees at the two places we parked up. There are plenty of things to do here. We went for a hike with great lookouts and a swim after. There are some nice venues to get something to eat. We liked our time her. Very enjoyable.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
