Lions Park is a park in Budgewoi. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.

Dog rules

Central Coast Council's "Guide to being PAWSOME!" booklet states: "When exercising in a public place, keep your dog on a lead and under the control of a competent person." "This means when you are outside your home, including on the footpath, your dog must be on a lead — except in designated dog off-leash exercise areas." The booklet also notes that under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs are prohibited from schools, shopping centres, beaches (except in designated areas), food preparation areas, playgrounds and wildlife protection areas. This park is not on Central Coast Council's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies. (Source: Central Coast Council — "Guide to being PAWSOME!" Awesome spot. Right on the lake. There is a small footbridge out to the island on the lake. Massive children play area with zip-line/flying fox. Lots of bbqs for the adults. Plenty of seating areas. Public toilets 🚻

Great place to visit, one of the gems of the central coast. There is a playground for kids, undercover table and seating area, toilets have recently been renovated and there is plenty of free car parking. There is also a bridge over to a small island and its great to do some kayaking around it. This is a good spot to grab some fish n chips from down the road or pizza and enjoy life's scenery. There is also a small Beach with sand to paddle or get your feet wet.

Great little park with several play grounds, plenty of seating and public/free BBQs and amenities. There's some exploring to do across the Foot Bridge on the Island. As with any popular park, getting in early for the best tables is a must.
