Picnic Point Reserve is a dog-friendly park in The Entrance. Just 250m away, Albie's Coffee Bar is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at this park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act, dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas except designated off-leash zones.
Fabulous park at The Entrance with great skater's for young and not-so-young! Beautiful views of the lake, pelicans and bird-life and cute little kid's playground. Startbof the walking track to Chittaway Bay, greatvspot for families. Dog friendly.
Came here for a spot of fishing. It was 40 degrees and windy. Luckily, there were plenty of trees to sit under which made it all very comfortable. Plenty parking. Would recommend to others.
spent the christmas eve here with friends 🧺✨ as someone who loves calm water, this spot is perfect for a beach picnic. super peaceful, not crowded at all 💯💯
Full-time traveller here, slowly meandering down the East Coast. Picked out Picnic Point Reserve (from Google maps) as an idyllic spot to pull my campervan in among the trees and make brekkie, have a long walk along the Tuggerah Lake foreshore and enjoy a local coffee. What a perfect calm morning to soak in this dream location - prime real estate - and then I drove into the car park. Wow!! I should have read the reviews. Rubbish and cigarette butts trodden into the ground everywhere (despite the garbage bins), a burned out caravan - now used as a rubbish skip - and all thanks to a well-established but undesignated free camp. I've come across homeless set-ups almost everywhere during my recent travels... lots of our people are struggling. But council need to manage this situation way better so everyone can feel safe to park and enjoy this beautiful area.
Good for fishing with kids just make sure you have a license as the fisheries people visit. The fish are small but I go for catch and release anyway. The only negative is all the homeless campers that have set themselves up. They never used to be there are it severely detracts from what was once a nice family friendly place.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
