I have had the pleasure of dining at this water front restaurant a few times now, simple no fuss decor and a laidback atmosphere, more like a cafe vibe than a restaurant, with spectacular views it’s a great place to dine any time of day, especially on the outer deck at sunrise or sunset. I initially had breakfast here some years ago and since have had coffee many times, lunch once or twice and dinner quite a few times now. The big breakfast was delicious and everything you’d expect it to be, hot fresh and abundant. Their coffee ( cappuccino ) is always made well, it’s flavourful thick rich foamy and always served at a good temperature. I highly recommend the Louisiana corn bread, it’s wonderfully dense but fluffy with a little touch of chilli, served with a side butter and honey, it’s a must try. I get this every time I eat here. The Greek style octopus is absolutely spectacular and is above and beyond any I’ve ever had elsewhere. It’s incredibly soft and tender, deliciously marinated in garlic, oregano and olive oil. I highly recommend this dish. The mussels and pasta is an absolute delight, a good amount of steamed mussels on top of linguine with a light tomato onion sauce/ broth served with a toasted slice of bread to mop it all up with. The salt and pepper squid is made in house, hand cut and dredged, it’s pretty good because it’s not that nasty frozen commercial type. The aioli that accompanies it is also made in-house ( but not my favourite as it’s a little too gluey for me) The fish curry ( skin on barramundi pieces) is mild to medium in heat and is sweet and savoury, it’s not a substantial portion but it’s tasty. ( it would be much nicer without the soggy fish skins ) I have tried quite a few dishes, most of the seafood I’ve had here including the whole fish and oysters were all very fresh and presented well, but sometimes I find dishes are inconsistent and the seafood is a little overcooked for my liking. Service is generally bright and very attentive but sometimes the staff here are a little unfocused and attention to detail fails them at times, with frequent mistakes with orders etc, a lot of the service staff are quite young and it’s very apparent they have had little to no formal training in professional service, although they all do try their very best. The staff do not wear uniforms and sometimes I find dressed way too informally for restaurant service. Overall I’ve generally had good dining experiences here, the food is all pretty good and some dishes are well above average, it’s a great location to eat, however there is potential to improve on the overall service and especially attention to detail in all areas. Bookings are recommended Medium price range Would I recommend yes

We had a lovely lunch sitting at the outside tables with our 2 dogs, they even brought out a bowl of water for them. I had the crispy whole snapper and my husband had the beer battered fish and chips. We loved everything about the meal, the freshness, the flavours, the presentation and the service 🌟

Found this waterfront restaurant while returning to Sydney. It did not disappoint us. The food served is fresh and delicious. Chilli oil prawns, grilled octopus, and barbecue barramundi are must-tries. All the food we ate was tasty and full of flavour. The dining hall is clean and spacious, with ample room for a large group. Outdoor waterfront seating is also available. The service is responsible.

Visiting The Entrance for the day from Sydney and decided to have lunch at this waterside restaurant. Could not fault the food, venue or service. Really enjoyed our time here.

Great view, nice staff, and the fish was really tasty and fresh. Only a few dollars more than the nearby pub and takeaway places but so much nicer place sit and relax. Upmarket location at a reasonable price, good food, overall very happy.
