This beach has my heart. My miniature sausage dog and my 2-year-old son absolutely love it here! It’s such a beautiful, relaxed spot where both dogs and kids can have the best time. The only thing I’d say is that some owners should keep a closer eye on their dogs and clean up after them — it’s the only thing that can spoil such a lovely place. Other than that, it’s absolutely perfect. A true gem for dog lovers!
We travelled from Penrith for a beach day and it was well worth it. My little mate had a ball, the other dogs were friendly. Its very relaxing.
Nice area to have your dogs off lead, would be nicer if dog owners were respectful of other beach users! Letting your dogs go through other people's stuff and smile while your dogs pee on someone's backpack is just disgusting. The arrogant dog owner who laughed saying "what do you expect, it's a dog beach" shows the disrespect of several dog owners this morning. Also clean up after your dogs, lot of dog poo on the beach!
Highly recommend this beach for dog owners, the beach itself is spacious, has loads of parking for people nearby. There are bathrooms nearby the parking area as well with outdoor showers to use. Pretty easy to get to from the highway, has fast food restaurants 5 minutes drive away which is convenient. However it is not the perfect place. There are bits of pieces of trash found within the sand, was minimal but still noticeable. And how some people don’t have the mutual understanding that dogs are allowed to be unleashed on this beach. Most dog owners were pretty clam and chill about other dogs interacting with each other but there were individuals that weren’t as pleasant to share the beach with as others.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
