Maverick Coffee House and Roastery

Delicious coffee and a really aesthetically pleasing interior, this is a great option for a coffee stop! Located inside a shopping village, so there is plenty of parking available. Unfortunately no highchairs on site, but that's not that surprising given families with young kids don't really seem to be their target clientele.

Coffee was good. I got it while waiting for my car to get Serviced at the Toyota Showroom behind the coffee shop. Atmosphere is nice inside and outside!

I was excited to see a coffee roaster and Cafe had opened up in the area! I dropped in to grab a couple of takeaway coffees, the cafe has a great setup with coffee beans and coffee machines (percolators) on sale. The coffee was great, it has chocolatey notes and is very balanced with a smooth taste. The shame was it took 17 minutes to get the coffees, even though there were only 3 orders in front of us. The Cafe had 4 staff working and was busy with people so it is great to see that locals and visitors are finding the cafe.

Dropped in here right on closing but they were happy enough to provide takeaway. My triple espresso was strong, rich and sweet. I’ll be back for more next time I’m down here.

Whilst in the South Coast, we discovered this micro-roastery and cafe called Maverick at the top end of Ulladulla’s strip of shops. A bit off the main drag, you’ll find it right next to McDonalds. It is small family run business who roast 100% ethically sourced beans which they sell to local shops but also make coffee to consume in store. The space is large with plenty of spots to sit and enjoy your coffee, and you can see the large roaster in store. They’ve got a limited menu but some toast and sweets if you’re hungry. There’s a couple of blends including the old town blend (Medium to Dark Roast - Milk chocolate, Raisins, Dark honey, Caramel notes) or the Sleight of hand blend (Medium Roast - Sweet Plum, Mandarin with Dark Chocolate Notes). There’s also a decaf and single often beans for their espressos.
