Spit West Reserve is a harbourside reserve at Mosman with a grassed area, an easy trail and lovely water views. Dogs are allowed off-leash here under effective control, with toilets, BBQ facilities and cafes close by. It is a relaxed spot for an evening walk and a play by the water, with paid parking at the Spit. A pleasant off-leash reserve on the harbour.
Dogs are permitted off-leash at Spit West Reserve, with time restrictions. In the grassed reserve, dogs may be off-leash at all times except Saturdays between 8:30am and 2:30pm. On the beach and in the water, dogs may be off-leash all day Monday to Friday, and before 9am and after 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Dogs must be on-leash at all other times, and under effective control at all times.
Great spot for an evening walk with the dog. Play on the grassed area or walk the easy trail and enjoy the views. Fishing seems a popular pastime, as is kayaking or snorkelling in the bay.
Excellent Reserve. Plenty of green park space for everyone to enjoy and plenty of carparking spaces but it is metered parking. We went there for a wedding and the sun was up with a cool breeze making it a perfect day to be married.
Public toilets available. Great views and cafes nearby. Offleash dog area. Parking at Spit Reserve $4.40 per hour. Make sure to check out options to start from if doing the 10km Spit to Manly walk as there is National Park as part of the walk. Well worth the journey. Multiple beaches (private beaches included) on the trip make for great photo ops
An exceptional reserve! The breathtaking scenery, tranquil atmosphere, and abundant wildlife make this place a paradise. Impeccable service, knowledgeable guides, and top-notch facilities. A true gem worth every moment. Highly recommended!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
