Coniston Dog Beach is a dedicated off-leash beach that's accessible via a short walk up a paved path. The beach itself is well-maintained and has a community feel — regulars describe it as a place where dogs and families share the space comfortably. The water access is straightforward, and the smaller scale of the beach keeps things manageable. It's a reliable everyday option for Wollongong dog owners.
Off-leash green zone beach. Dogs are allowed off-leash at all times. Dogs must be under effective control of a person aged 16+ who can control the dog by voice or other means. Dogs must not attack wildlife including birds. Owners must carry bags and clean up after their dogs. Restricted breed and declared dangerous dogs are not allowed. Dogs must stay on a leash going to and from the beach, including all pathways. Source: Wollongong City Council – Dog Beaches and Parks (wollongong.nsw.gov.au/places/dog-beaches-and-parks)
My dogs absolutely love the local dog beach. Great place for them to roam and swim.
We love this gorgeous dog beach for the whole family. Not too long a walk up the path and the beach itself is lovely and clean. Fellow beach goers and their doggies are also wonderful.
Great dog beach. Far away from the main roads, as you have to walk through a golf course to reach the beach. This was great for my anxious dog, who doesn’t like the sound of cars. The beach was also nice and clean. Would definitely go here again
My dogs first visit to a beach, she loved it, we both enjoyed it, spent quite a while walking up and down the beach, heaps of other dogs. Once you park your car, you walk through a golf course to assess the beach.
An absolutely beautiful beach. A place where man's bestfriend can frolic and play with their family members.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
