Cakes by Rach Cafe

Only had time to pop in for a coffee but the menu looks appealing so hope to return. Nice coffee and smoothie. Friendly and efficient service. Lovely outlook from the outdoor deck. It was quite busy at 10am Friday so was a bit difficult to find a table but still had a good vibe.

What a great place to chill and enjoy good food and Coffee. This part of Port Kembla is amazing. We've been many times and popped in on a whim on Sunday at 2:20pm. Ordered the Turkey, bacon, cheese and tomato melt to share. Kitchen closes at 2:30pm and we really appreciated the cook. But it took an awful long time to do a melt. 'Grilled cheese on toast'. A 20 minute wait and the place was dead. Maybe they'd already begun pack up. However, the bloody melt was amazing!!! Can't wait to go back for that again, and we'll be sure to be a bit earlier.

There are no cakes. While I love muffins because they let you eat cakes for breakfast, these were the closest to a cake I could see. For a place that names itself as a cake shop, there are no cakes. As a cake lover, I was very disappointed. If you are a cake lover like me, don't make my mistake expecting a wide range of gourmet cakes. The staff were good, the atmosphere was great, they do a great business with lots of locals enjoying their morning catch up. I don't know how they cope with there being no cakes though. Again, I was so disappointed there were no cakes.

people who have been here will know what i mean, but the waffles here are TO DIE FOR!! 10/10 would consume again. favourite place for waffles, and i’ve never had anything so taste yet so well priced! (edit: their custard croissants are so good… )

🌈 Came for the coffee, stayed for the view — and made a new friend (shoutout to Larry the seagull 🐦). The steak sandwich? Absolute beast. Chips? Golden like the rainbow. 10/10 would get stared at by a bird again while munching fries. 👀🍔
