I have big love for Bayleaf Café. It's hands down my favourite place for brunch or lunch in Byron. Periodt! They’ve been a Byron institution for quite sometime now; built on a beautiful philosophy of fresh, seasonal produce, simple ingredients done well, and food that feels both nourishing and exciting. And honestly… they nail it every single time. This place is incredibly popular, and for good reason. Everyone who lines up outside knows the deal — it’s absolutely worth the wait. Early bird catches the worm here; if you sleep in, you will miss out! When we stay in Byron for a week, we literally come here every single day for brunch because it’s just that good. Bayleaf is open 6:30AM–1:00PM during the week and until 2pm on the weekend, and everything on the menu is consistently delicious. If I had to choose a favourite, in summer I am crazily obsessed with the Buckwheat Tabouli Salad with added grilled chicken. I’m drooling just thinking about it! Their specialty coffee from Blackboard Coffee is always excellent, and I love trying their guest coffees when they rotate them in. Drinks you must try: • the Iced Matcha, • the Banoffee Coffee (pure happiness in a glass :) I feel like a kid again!), • and any of their house smoothies. Another thing I notice is that this café runs like a well-oiled machine. It’s insanely busy, but the service flows so smoothly. The staff are warm, friendly, and absolutely on it. They alone make this place worth coming back to:) Highly recommend Bayleaf to anyone visiting Byron! It’s a local favourite for a reason, and easily one of the best brunch spots in town.

A really chilled, easygoing spot. The atmosphere is laid‑back and welcoming, and you feel comfortable right away. Brunch is great, the coffee is excellent, and the banana bread is a definite highlight. Service is friendly and relaxed, perfectly matching the vibe. A place you’re happy to come back to.

A well-known local café with some dishes that include a touch of Japanese fusion. It’s a popular spot and the atmosphere is very chill, with friendly and welcoming staff. The food is delicious, and the coffee has a bright, acidic profile that coffee lovers shouldn’t miss.

What a happy vibrant and happening piece of Byron Bay. Welcomed by several team members and checking we were happy diners, we had a wonderful brunch. The open kitchen is a great feature of this establishment and the preparation of the meals being prepared was fantastic to watch. Every plate served with such precision. The fast pace that the food was cooked and plated was also impressive, (and delicious). I give you 20 stars out of 5. We love that we found you, no doubt, up with the best in town. Thankyou all
