Moonlight is our absolute favourite Byron Bay restaurant! Consistently delicious food, friendly, efficient staff and a chic, relaxed vibe! We prefer to sit on the verandah but have also dined inside and at the chef’s counter (watching all the action)! Do yourself a favour! You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely incredible. The food is amazing and the staff are great. Went back a second night in a row due to how good it was and the greeting/service from Dannie and the team was so welcoming. We sat at the bar and got the close up view of what goes into prepping/cooking along with the drinks prep. It’s very clear the staff like working here as they all get along so well which translates over to the customer experience. Now one of my favourite restaurants ever. Will be back here next time in Byron

We chose Moonlight to celebrate our anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and impeccable service that made the evening special. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

Great Japanese hibachi restaurant in Byron, lots of options to choose from plus a tasting menu with the highlights. When something says spicy on the menu it’s actually is spicy so you’ve been warned (those cucumbers are fiery), but that’s of course the question of personal taste. Kind of monochromatic interior on the dimmed mysterious side. Service was good, bud I’d say on the laid back side.

There's good and there's great and then there's other worldly. I sat at the bar and engaged with the chef. It was instructive and a pleasure to observe a kitchen running smoothly and respectfully. The food without exception was sublime. I found my body lifting off the stool whenever I took a mouthful and was given great advice about which dish to choose when I asked for it. This food is as good as I've eaten anywhere in Australia. Thank you for your hospitality and for the memorable experience.
