Honeysuckle Park is a dog-friendly park in Newcastle with plenty of shade.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times in public places unless in a designated leash-free area. Dogs are not permitted on the Memorial Walk or within 10 metres of a playground. Leash-free areas are patrolled and penalties apply for non-compliance. Source: City of Newcastle – Leash Free Areas (newcastle.nsw.gov.au/living/residents/pets-and-animals/leash-free-areas)
So much space, great waterfront walk way shared by bike riders and dog walkers alike. Great garden beds and beautiful trees. Shade in places and some seating. In the evening there is great low level lighting underneath the planter boxes which give off a great ambience. There is also a small playground area for the kids and public rest room.
A lovely spot on the harbour to bring kids to play or just yourself & relax. The children will have fun playing in the pirate ship while you enjoy the beautiful harbour view & the tranquillity. With shady, sheltered seating areas, grass & toilets, you're all set. Just bring drinks & a snack or purchase from one of many nearby cafes on Honeysuckle or a convenience store.
Great place to walk around, well laid out, flat for the elderly all the way up to Nobby's Beach
It's a lovely area to sit and view the water. There is a kids play area (pirate-themed), and some picnic tables and benches.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
