Went for a stroll to Frothy Coffee for morning tea. As a first time visitor, I was surprised to see how big it was. Plenty of seating both indoors and outside on the verandah. The view of the lake is stunning with a flock of pelicans swimming by and a cheeky egret sunning themselves on the deck. The coffee, chai and scones were all great...nice and hot. Scones were still warm and fresh cream tasted so much better than squirty cream from a can! ;) The menu is extensive with a lot to choose from and it all looked yum as it came out. I have to say though that the prices for some of the items were pretty expensive but I guess given the location, delivery costs, and basically the cost of everything these days....it's to be expected. The staff were spot on! Efficient, friendly, happy to crack a joke or two and just really nice people. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.....pop in and give a local business a go. P.S. We left with a batch of raspberry and white chocolate muffins and went back the next day for coffee and left with some citrus tarts!
This place has so much potential but is actually a joke - been several times and each time has been a long wait (even out of holiday times) and the coffee isn’t nice. Just got a takeaway ‘iced latte’ if they can call it that… it was in a normal coffee cup, and had a single ice cube in it… and it cost $8.50!!!!! Also took 25 minutes :) Such a joke, it’s less effort to make, but the same level of ingredients used as a normal large coffee (oh sorry, a single ice cube was added - most expensive ice cube on the planet obviously) Anyway, super unimpressed- such a shame because it’s got a lot going for it
Waited over 60 minutes for a simple eggs Benedict, and when it finally arrived it was barely average. The service was painfully slow, and the staff were rude and dismissive any time we asked for an update on our food. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least decent service and edible food, but this place delivered neither. Honestly one of the most disappointing café experiences I’ve had in a long time. Would not recommend. If I could give less then 1 star I honestly would
Currently eating the best egg and bacon roll I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! The breathtaking landscape and lake this cafe is situated on is nothing less and perfectly picturesque. The staff are so so lovely and friendly, everything about this place makes me want to come back every day. I love it here, everyone should visit atleast once!!
delicious toasties! came here for lunch after the beach. the kids got to feed the fish off the dock while we waited for our food. beautiful view of the lake. playground is fun for the kids right next door.
