Bombo Beach

Bombo Beach is a larger, open stretch of coastline with wide views out to the surrounding headland. It offers plenty of space for dogs to move, but conditions can be rough at times, with stronger waves than more sheltered beaches.
It works best for dogs that are comfortable in open environments and don't rely on calm water.
Dog rules
Bombo Beach has a designated dog off-leash area in the centre of the beach only, between the signed northern and southern limits — dogs may be off-leash and swim there; the rest of the beach is off-limits to dogs. Reach the off-leash area by the shortest route: the northern train-tunnel track, or the southern fenced walkway under the rail bridge. Permitted sunrise to sunset, under the effective control of a person aged 16 or over. Standard NSW Companion Animals Act conditions apply. (Source: Kiama Municipal Council.)

Took my dog here for a swim. The surf was quite rough, so we couldn’t go in too deep. Beautiful views of the cliffs. It was a hot day with no shade, so we didn’t stay long.

Quite a nice beach. It is very quiet and parking is free here. You can go for a nice walk from the car park. As usual flies are an issue here.
