Anzac Park is a dog-friendly park in Shoal Bay. Just 750m away, Zenith Cafe, Restaurant and Bar is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
All Council reserves that are not off-lead or prohibited are dog on-lead areas. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person by means of an adequate chain or leash at all times. You are not permitted to walk more than 4 dogs at any one time. Dog owners must remove all dog faeces — fines of $275 apply. Quiet nature reserve just behind the beach at Shoal Bay. It parallels the coast and is a popular walking spot that runs from near the bottom of Mt Tomaree to the lighthouse. Early mornings and late afternoons seem to be the preferred time to exercise here.
A nice little park for a morning walk. We cut across the park to enjoy the scenic Shoal Bay. Nearby, we chanced by a colony of brightly coloured Hibiscus Harlequin Bugs aka Cotton Harlequin Bugs. We understand that upon maturity, the bugs turn a nice orange. In the neighbourhood, we also saw a ceramic bird feed that attracted a lot of wild colourful parrots. It was an amazing!
Beautiful beach with spectacular views of the headlands crystal clear water unless been storms . Can be bit rough for little kids
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
