Little Beach Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Nelson Bay with plenty of shade.
All Council reserves that are not off-lead or prohibited are dog on-lead areas. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person by means of an adequate chain or leash at all times. You are not permitted to walk more than 4 dogs at any one time. Dog owners must remove all dog faeces — fines of $275 apply. Fantastic beach for the little ones. We have a 2 and 5 yr old. Not many waves. Clean and tidy beach. Toilets close-by. Little play area close-by. Big tree to sit under for shade. Quite a lot of picnic benches and single benches. Parking can be tricky and pricey. Shark nets in place.
Such a beautiful beach easily accessible via road, clean perfect little beach especially for little Children. Great facilities! Nice atmosphere!
We drove up to the lighthouse on the hills. For some reason he stopped car and asking me to watch the pelicans. The wind and grey clouds are up and down. And I got these beautiful photos. The jetty and people up there just made me feel like in the scene of Alice Lester’s picture book.
Little Beach at Nelson Bay is our favourite beach ⛱️ we go every year to soak up the sun 🌞 and have a swim at the pool like beach. It's safe, serene, the water so clear and clean, and not overcrowded. We love ❤️ it and go at least twice a year, in February and then by Easter, we catch up with friends and make new ones, it's a beautiful part of Port Stephens, so much to do and see, we highly recommend this beach and the Bay all year round 👍💯⛱️🌞😘❤️👏
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
