Early Bird

Some friends and I popped by here on Easter Monday morning as it was in a really convenient location. The cashier who served us was lovely, and apologetic when we tried to order banana bread but it wasn’t available. We also ordered two chai lattes and a coffee. It took a while to make, and while we were standing outside, the barista suddenly says loudly, “I’m sick of making chai lattes, they’re all I’ve made this weekend” and “they’re the worst drink to make”. She follows this with “I don’t care who can hear me”, then goes back to chatting to the cashier at a normal volume that we can’t hear. I can understand that since it was a long weekend, they would’ve had lots of tourists, but I would think if you were so against making chai lattes, you could just say it’s not available on the menu, which we would’ve been fine with. The most disappointing part was that after that and a long wait, it was a bad chai latte that was quite tasteless. The ham cheese tomato toastie I had was nice though.

Came in orderd a coffee people walked in after me by 2 and 3 minutes seem to be locals whom the barristas knew had their coffes made first in bring your own flasks. The staff were rude and seemed a little stand-offish. The coffee is absolutely horrible not worth the wait seems that its more a locals spot and dont like out siders facts

I wanted to express my appreciation for Early Bird's punctuality – they consistently open on time, rarely exceeding a two-minute delay. The skilled barista crafts fantastic coffee, delivering a delightful experience.

Excellent coffee, delicious bacon and egg rolls! Usually pretty quick if you pre-order (text your order), though having to line up to pay for your order with everyone else even (when preordering is a bit of a pain).

Early Bird Café is a favourite for many of our Highland locals, and with good reason! The coffee is delicious, the people are down-to-earth, and they reuse the bags their beans come in to offer free used coffee grounds for gardeners. It's a pity I'm limited to only 5 stars! Definitely my new favourite café in Bowral. ☕💕
