The Corner 5 Cafe is a cafe in Asquith. We don't yet have enough signals to confirm whether dogs are allowed. It's best to check with the venue before visiting with your dog. Just 250m away, Gardenia Street Park is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.
I ordered a takeaway and it arrived cold, but I know that’s not the café’s fault. The real reason I’m leaving this review is because the food itself was genuinely terrible. The scrambled eggs had absolutely no seasoning at all — not even salt. The bread was so tough and dry it honestly felt like chewing on wood. The beef sausage had a faint sour smell that was really off-putting. The bacon was rock hard and almost impossible to bite through. The hash browns came with no ketchup, even though I specifically asked for it. The entire Big Breakfast had no sauce, no seasoning, nothing — just completely bland and unpleasant. This is by far the worst Big Breakfast I’ve ever had. I genuinely don’t understand how something this simple can be made this badly. Before trying this place, I honestly believed a Big Breakfast couldn’t really go wrong — it’s just eggs, bacon, sausage, bread. How do you even make these things taste this bad? This experience truly shocked me and completely changed my expectations, in the worst way.
Took our daughter who recently moved to Asquith here for brunch and found food & service to be good. Staff were friendly and we were seated and served in good time considering the day we went it was quite busy. A little noisy being on a busy road so we chose to dine inside which could do with a couple of fans inside to improve airflow as it was a little stuffy but overall a great dining experience.
This is my main spot and the food is delicious. You can’t really go wrong with a Corner 5 Cafe coffee or meal. If you are passing through Asquith or live locally, give them a try as they have really nice food. My favourite is the French toast. But the only problem is that I cannot eat it every day 😭
The cafe has improved since I last visited. I think they are under new management. I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon, a mocha coffee and a fresh orange juice. For over $30 the serving size of the eggs benedict could have been bigger and there probably should have been a second slice of toast. Although it was served quickly and with a smile and was delicious. The coffee was also very good
Staff are accommodating and lovely. Food is great. The coffee always hits the spot! definitely one of my faves recently! It is a busy cafe but theres always space for you so no need to worry, well except for busy weekends! Otherwise, grab take away and bring to a nearby park!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
