A little gem of a cafe in Campbelltown. Their unique menu lived up to the hype. We had the Mushroom Croquettes with eggs Benedict and Thai beef salad (that I'll be asking for the dressing recipe). A surprise little find for us out of towners. Definately recommend!
Just had an amazing coffee today. Just what I wanted. As a barista of 20 years experience I was super impressed. The manager of the shop made it for me. She was super friendly and a great barista. Highly recommend.
I ordered the salmon noodles and when I received it I cut it open and on the inside was raw and freezing cold, I called over the waiter and she apologised and took it back. (I know this is not her fault she was a sweetheart). She came back and told me that the chefs said that the salmon was “medium rare” and it was “meant to be like that” I then told her the menu doesn’t say anything about “medium rare” salmon and considering the fact that i’ve never heard of this in my life I was shocked. About 15-20 minutes later i got the meal back and the next time the fish was served burnt, it was so hard to bite into and was just so poorly and disrespectfully made, I was disgusted on what was sitting in front of me.
Service was exceptional, but it's a shame the same can't be said about the food. The food was average for the price. Juice was excellent, service was above average but the most important thing is the value and that simply wasn't there. Eggs on the big breakfast were cold. They didn't put the grilled haloumi I had to ask for that. Bacon and egg roll looked like one of those truck stop ready-to-go meals. The roll was way too big or the fillings were too few. Disappointed to say the least. The kitchen needs some love and attention and this place will be awesome. Note Don't use egg rings teach the chefs how to do it properly.
Easily the best cafe at Campbelltown Mall. They do excellent coffee, the cappuccino is so good! They roast their own beans and it shows. The food is really good here. My wife had the smashed avocado which was excellent! It comes with poached eggs and danish feta which gives it a nice tang. My bircher muesli was really nice and fresh too. I have come here for lunch many times too and the steak sandwich rocks! We are lucky to have such a great local cafe which has been consistently good for so many years at Campbelltown Mall.
