East Hills Park is a well-regarded dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find BBQs, parking, and toilets nearby, while East Hills Hotel is around 300 metres away for an easy post-walk drink.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at East Hills Park, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
Great relaxing site by riverside. Public toilets and kids play area available. Charcoal bbq bin is a good surprise , there aren’t many places left where you can enjoy charcoal bbq. Could be a good spot for fishing with family. Looses a star for public toilet cleanliness ( typical public toilet challenge).
This park was my first time going here although it was a beautiful day having our morning tea first on the benches so to enjoy the weather outside. The grass itself was too wet & muddy that I almost slipped over my ankle ending almost injured when playing badminton that the puddle over there wasn’t absorbed enough for the daylight sun. You can do fishing boating around this park including parking for the disability van. Kids playground areas too for them to have a good time with the owners. Close by there is a train track that goes to Campbelltown that it’s quite a journey to get here by public transport. There is public restroom as well alongside the view of the bridge to walk there too. One day I will take my family to come here again.
East Hills Park is a lovely riverside park with scenic views perfect for a relaxing picnic or BBQ. It boasts a well-equipped play area , making it a great choice for families with small children.
The park itself is beautiful, but our last visit was marred by a disappointing experience. Some families brought small motorcycles and were riding them right through the middle of the park, weaving among families and children. At one point, a motorcycle ran over people who were seated, and although it was stopped quickly, Parks should be places for relaxation, where people can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere without disruptive noise. This incident made the visit less enjoyable, and it’s unfortunate that such activities are allowed to disturb the serenity of the park.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
