Hughes Park has a council-designated off-leash area and a large enclosed dog section, giving dogs a secure place to run beside the wider parkland. There is grass underfoot, BBQ facilities nearby and a playground close by for families. Dogs need to stay on-leash within ten metres of playgrounds, sports fields and food areas, but the fenced dog space gives them a clear place for off-leash play.
Council-designated off-leash area at Hughes Park. Dogs may exercise off-leash under the effective control of a competent person. Dogs must remain on-leash within 10 metres of food preparation areas, playgrounds and sports fields.
This park is a disgrace. The off leash area is falling apart and not maintained. The toilets are always locked so park visitors can only relive themselves in full view and only 10m from the children's play area.
Would of given it 5 stars but the toilets were closed all day on a Saturday. Had a family gathering there. 40 people including children for lunch and no toilet amenities at all and no way to contact anybody about getting them open.
This council park caters more for the dogs than residents that pay so much council rates. There's no where to sit on a bench nor a table to have a sit down with a snack. There's no facilities to play for kids or anyone such as a basketball hoops,a cricket section, or a wall to hit a ball ,just a boring park with grass....
Earlwood Wanderers Football Club soccer competition in the honour of Behrang was held between under 6 & under 7 juniors. Future Matilda and Socceroos stars are born in Hughes Park. Dedication and vibe under rain and in cold was amazing. Well done EWFC club personnel and parents and players. Wish you good luck with your dreams.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
