Harcourt Reserve is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Campsie where dogs are welcome on lead.
Dogs are welcome on-leash at Harcourt Reserve, a Canterbury-Bankstown Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under the effective control of a competent person, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.
Quiet park close to home. Just stay away from the pigeons on the street side
Facilities looks new or it are well kept. The swing glides well. And kids loved it.
Good park for kids when it's quiet. Play area has the non Woodchip flooring which is much safer and cleaner for kids. It's clean and reasonably maintained apart from all the bird droppings on the street pavement adjacent to the park. Would have been nice to see council do a little bit more landscaping and planting of greenery in the section of the park that doesnt really get used. If you are taking small children you have to be a bit more cautious as at times seems to be a lot of older kids with parents that are not there or have backs turned and they get a little bit rough
This park has been neglected over the decades. It requires more shrub planting to replace all the opened spaces in the plant islands areas.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
