Federation Reserve is a park in Campsie. Dogs are generally allowed on a lead in NSW public parks unless signs say otherwise — but the rules here aren't confirmed, so check local signage before visiting.
Quiet reserve next to river. Play equipment is for toddlers and not the best it's small, run down and have found ticks in past. However next to the playground there's lots of grass perfect for soccer, a small path suited for kids to ride bikes / scooters around and often some waterbirds and fish in river. Have also seen a turtle near the bridge. It's usually a bit nicer when there's water in the river, when there's no water you often see a lot of rubbish. Often also see cockatoos, rainbow lorakeets the odd kookaburra and purple swamphens. No toilets nearby and parking in 4th ave can be problematic at times.
Walk around here everyday. Great spots under trees, seats available & play swings for kids.
Nice little reserve it has a memorial for the Aboriginal service people, play area, picnic tables and benches.
Nice nautical theme. The kids enjoyed being pirates. Good shading, but a lot of the equipment is starting to show it's age.
This Park now has one of the few memorials dedicated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people who fought in war to protect Their land.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
