I had breakfast in this cafe and it was outstandingly delicious and the coffee was amazing as well. Came here for the first time the staff were so friendly and helpful and the service was on point. Definitely coming back again.

Just had an awful interaction with the owner of this cafe. I’ve always visited this cafe and was happy with every experience until this one. On the very top of the Mango Macarena I just ordered, there was a cockroach egg shell. I’ve included a photo to show what it looked like because I didn’t think to take a photo of it in the moment. I wasn’t planning on leaving a review about this. I went directly to the owner and showed him the egg shell on the drink. He then became really worked up, claiming it was a chia seed. He scooped it out of the cup and pinched it between his fingers and it made a crunching sound. It was very obviously a cockroach egg. The reason I’m writing this review isn’t because of the egg, it’s because of the way the owner handled himself in this situation. He became really defensive and accused me of telling people there were roaches in his shop. I came DIRECTLY to the owner, I didn’t even approach the worker. I didn’t want to make a fuss. The cafe was empty except for 2 girls seated. The owner was so aggressive and was beginning to raise his voice, and admitted he was angry at me because I said it was from a cockroach. He even made a sarcastic comment asking me if I’m a “roach expert” because I pushed back on the idea that it was something else. All I wanted was a refund, not an argument. I got the refund but left really disgusted with the way he spoke to me. I am a customer. And I understand the customer isn’t always right, and it may not feel good to have an issue like this brought up to you, but as an owner you should handle yourself with respect and decency. The fact that I had to ask you more than once to calm down and let you know it’s not a big deal is embarrassing and disappointing. I shop at chullora almost every day and I loved coming here for coffees. Unfortunately I won’t be coming here again because of the way I was spoken to. If the owner reads this I hope he can reflect on his customer service, and go forward with improvement.

Went in craving breakfast at such an odd time, and the owner was more than happy to help me out without hesitation. That kind of service honestly makes all the difference. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the customer service was next level. You can really tell they care about their customers and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and looked after. Definitely one of those places that leaves a lasting impression I’ll 100% be back. Highly recommend!
