Newland Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Milperra with plenty of shade. Just 550m away, Frankie's Food Factory Milperra is a great nearby spot to grab a coffee with your pup.

Dog rules

Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Lovely suburban parkland around council managed water scene with reeds, ducks, birds and quiet away from kids swings play area. Nice level walk on pathway and walking bridge across, dog-friendly but not a lot of shade. Worth a visit and stroll around.

This was my first time going to Newland Reserve in Milperra with my social group to have our morning tea outside the sunshine to get some Vitamin D that they was gym experience for my workout & not much playground although the view was stunning to see buildings over the skyscrapers. I was able to see the plants though there wasn’t any toilets or refill water bottles either than that the place was very nice with shelter benches for us to have morning tea.

Nice park, good walking track around the pond, plenty of wildlife mostly ducks and ibis the ducks will happily come to you looking for something to eat, they will follow you but not at any annoying way, lovely paved track and a wooden bridge and viewing deck, there is some playground equipment and fitness equipment there too

Has a playground best suited for kids 2.5+. 500m walking track around the pond in the centre of the park. Ducks and birds a plenty. Good amount of seating. No toilets. Lots of broken glass bottles. Whole park could do with a little tlc.
