Vale of Ah Reserve is a large fenced off-leash area along the river, estimated at 2–3 acres by visitors. The scale means dogs can genuinely stretch out, and there's agility equipment to add variety. A picnic area sits alongside the dog park with parking and toilets available. The riverside setting adds a pleasant backdrop to what is already a well-sized space.

Dog rules

Council-designated off-leash area at Vale of Ah Reserve. Dogs may exercise off-leash under the effective control of a competent person. Dogs must remain on-leash within 10 metres of food preparation areas, playgrounds and sports fields.

Great fenced dog park along the river. Quite large, guessing 2-3 acres. Good amenities for the dogs as well. Heaps of parking and a large picnic area alongside for the family.

My furbabies love catching up with other furbabies. Meet other dog owners, chat about what can help your babies if you have questions. Great closed off area for smaller dogs. They love exploring new surrounds. However could do with more shelter to sit in closed area instead of blasting sun 🌞 Also needs a toilet for humans.

Nice simple large fenced off park. Plenty of parking. Both large dog and small dog areas are big so plenty of room for the dogs to walk, play, sniff and rest. There's some dog equipment in the large dog park section with a walking path leading to it. There is a sign for snakes due to close river proximity, however, have yet to seen one. Dog owners have been friendly and nice.

Really lovely dog park! It has a little beach, a small obstacle course area and so much room for dogs to run around! There's a small/senior dogs area too and locals have brought their own little poop bags, bowls and kiddy pools there to leave for other dogs to use on hot days too. We saw a sweet little disabled senior dog on wheels there doing some physio so everyone there on the day we went were really sweet and respects each other's space. Only issue was there was no bathrooms opened on the day but there are bathrooms on the sports oval.

Massive park - lawn, lights, seating, agility area, mini-forest & water. Needs large shelter above seated area & propper garden tap close to seated area - other than that - the best park we've visited with the loveliest people in the western suburbs 8/10
