Dog rules

–Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Georges River Jetty is a peaceful and relaxing spot that offers a great escape from the noise and stress of everyday life. Whether you’re visiting on your own, with family, or with friends, it’s a perfect place to take a break and enjoy the beauty of nature. The views of the river are beautiful, especially around sunset when the sky reflects off the water. It’s an ideal location for walking, sitting by the water, or even enjoying a quiet picnic. You’ll often see people fishing off the jetty or just enjoying the calm atmosphere. The area is generally clean, well looked after, and safe. There are walking paths nearby and a few spots where you can sit and relax. It’s also a nice place for taking photos, especially if you enjoy nature photography or peaceful scenery. However, one important thing to know before you visit is that you need to pay for parking, and coins are not accepted—only card payments are available, so make sure to bring a debit or credit card and check the signs to avoid any issues. Overall, Georges River Jetty is a hidden gem and worth a visit if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, scenic, and calming. Highly recommended for nature lovers
