We attended the Australia Day fireworks at Rooty Hill on 26th January with our kids, organised by Blacktown Council, and it was a great experience overall. The event was very well organised — easy to get around, smooth parking, and everything clearly set up for families. The kids absolutely loved the amusement rides, food stalls, and the festive atmosphere, and the fireworks were a perfect highlight to end the night. It was also great to see support for local and small businesses through the food and stall options. Well done to Blacktown Council for putting together such an enjoyable and family-friendly event.
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Rooty Hill Historic Site is a very nice and beautiful park 🌳🏏, especially great for cricket matches. The open grounds are well maintained and make it a lovely spot to enjoy the game. There are bathroom facilities 🚻 and plenty of parking 🚗, which is very convenient for families and teams. However, one thing missing is cricket practice cages ⛓️, which would make the site even better. Overall, a great place to spend time outdoors and play cricket 🌞⚡.
The held the Australia Day event here in 2026. It catered to thousands of people and was a fantastic venue for such events.
Amazing fireworks for the Australia Day every year. Amazing food stalls for the day along with nicely organised events. There's a security (bags) check post before entering the premises and also quick response and an ambulance on site each year. Highly recommended for watching the fireworks 🎇🎇🎆🎆
Found this place purely by chance. Surprisingly beautiful natural playground with wonderful views.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
