Valentine’s Degustation Dinner – Extremely Disappointing Unfortunately, our Valentine’s degustation dinner was a very disappointing experience. We were not seated in the main dining restaurant as expected, which immediately changed the atmosphere of the evening. The lighting in the area we were placed in was harsh and overly bright, lacking the warmth and ambience you would anticipate for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day. The overall experience felt far from the fine-dining standard. The so-called five-course degustation was underwhelming and poorly executed. The tuna was amazing, followed by the second course, then it went downhill from there. One of the main courses was served with a side bowl of hot chips, which felt completely out of place and far from what you would expect when paying for a premium degustation menu. It lacked creativity and refinement.. Service was mixed. Our server was fabulous — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. She certainly did her best to make the evening enjoyable despite the circumstances, and her professionalism did not go unnoticed. However, the experience was significantly overshadowed by the behaviour of the Front of House Manager (Maître d’). His attitude was unpleasant and, at times, quite rude toward our server. It was uncomfortable to witness and came across as unprofessional and disrespectful. For what should have been a memorable and romantic evening, the experience fell well below expectations. The combination of poor ambience, disappointing food, and unprofessional front-of-house conduct made it feel far from the premium dining experience we were expecting.
We didn't know about this restaurant until another resatuant in the area was fully booked and declined entry. Serno allowed late entry without prior booking. The food was great. Customer service was exceptional. It was great lunch for daughter's birthday. Thank you Serino team !
Overall a wonderful evening, food and service was excellent. Enjoyed prosciutto, olives, focasia and butter candle, arancini for entrees. For mains we enjoed anolini and porchetta. Dessert was the tiramisu! Can recommend!
Enjoyed an amazing meal at Sarinos, paired with a beautiful bottle of Argentinian Malbec. The food was outstanding and the hospitality truly exceptional. It was wonderful to see Victoria, who has grown into such a smart and professional lady. I still remember her from our Bella days as a young waitress. Nick was amazing as always, along with Sam, RK, and our young hostess, who made the evening warm and memorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really needed a quiet birthday dinner with my husband on a Friday evening. True Italian. Plenty of sides, entrees etc to accompany delicious pasta and mains. My husbands steak was a perfect medium rare and my gnocchi was pillow perfect. I asked for a Mai Tai, which many pubs and restaurant have not been able to make because they don’t keep the syrup on hand but no problem Sarino’s. We’re planning on bringing our adult family next as my mum prefers quiet quality so this should please.
