Dog rules

Dogs are welcome on-leash at Chopin Park, a Blacktown City Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under effective control, and are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas. Off-leash exercise is permitted only in Council's designated off-leash areas.

What people say

★★★☆☆1 year ago

A few years ago, Chopin Park underwent a rejuvenation, but it feels like a half-finished project. There’s a clear need — and space — for skateboard, scooter, or BMX facilities in the area, but none were included. While a decent flying fox and climbing gym were added, the park still seems mainly geared toward younger children. Basic amenities like toilets, bins, and drinking fountains are also lacking. Although there is one drinking fountain, it’s located about 50 meters away from the playground. The shortage of bins often leads to rubbish being left behind as well.

What a gem! Kids love this playground as it is quiet and has a really fun zip line! Unfortunately, no toilets and no bins around. So please be mindful to take home any rubbish with you.

Oasis in suburbia. Playground, lots of trees. No toilets.

Clean and quiet place very nice for a picnic or family functions.
