First time on the course and it was an amazing experience. Course was immaculate , views were spectacular and very friendly pro shop staff . Will definitely be coming back . Thank you Eastlakes for a wonderful day
Overall not a bad course & most holes are pretty scenic, but it probably didn’t hit the expectations I had of it. It’s a huge course covering large distances where you cross roads multiple times & I liked that aspect. I think the greens were in excellent conditions, but the fairways were a big off compared to some other courses I’ve played recently. The course probably gets a 4, it’s good all round & some nice holes, but nothing overly smile inducing. What drops the score was more how crowded it was. I teed off & there were no group bookings meant to be behind for 20mins according to the pro shop, yet I’m on the second fairway & balls got hit at me. The whole way around they kept pushing me to the point they told me to join their group as the round was taking too long (rejected obviously). At the 14th hole there were 4 teeing off, another group of 4 waiting, then myself & the 4 after me & it remained that way until the end. Also hit the 15th & a random was in there who said hes a member who went to the back 9 as he always goes wherever he likes & just starts there,so obviously no monitoring from the club. It was over 30 degrees & the halfway house was closed,so feel a few of those things bought the round down, with overall time taking 5.5 hours & just lacking in a few parts.
$77 for 18 with comp fee. Slow, short, green keepers sanding greens mid comp whilst you’re waiting to play a shot. Groups playing Ambrose in between comp rounds. Not to mention about 3 temp holes. Good view of the lakes though
This is a very nice course. Actually, it is hard to find fault when I consider the price. I think it is a great deal for the price. The greens were true and fast, and the fairways were in great shape. I booked online beforehand, so once I got to the course it was so smooth.
What a HUGE course! Thankfully had a buggy otherwise would have got my weekly steps in one day. Course is well maintained and is challenging. Some great views of the city from different spots. There is a little cafe half way around, so good to stop and take a break if you want to. The club house is modern and clean. The food we had (we were doing a golf day) was excellent and served with a smile. The staff were great too! It was my first time to this course but hopefully not my last.
