Astrolabe Park
Astrolabe Park is a large off-leash area with an open, expansive layout. The space is generous — dogs have plenty of room to run across open grass. Waste bags, bins, toilets, and parking are all available. It's a good option for everyday off-leash exercise with room to spread out.
Dog rules
Off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs must be kept under control and supervised at all times. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of playgrounds and play equipment.

What people say
This park is a barren, desolate wasteland. It's emptiness made my dog uncomfortable. The grass was patchy and uneven, like a psychiatric patients beard. 'snake warning' signs were posted. We took our dogs and jumped the fence to the private golf course nextdoor. The grass there was soft and lush. Unfortunately one of the dogs had the runs because he ate too much ham over Xmas. We didn't have any poo bags with us and he made a mess on the putting green.
Pooch approved large off leash dog park with bins and poo bags available. There is also water and toilets in the corner of the park and heaps of available parking.
Perhaps one of the last, if not only, great off-leash spaces for dogs in the Eastern Suburbs. Please never change it! A generous wide, open, grassy and relatively secure area for dogs to run free. Fencing around golf course and housing sides, with low fencing around carpark and street side. But easy to avoid the edges if your dog is a runner as it’s huge. Usually not too busy. Parking and toilets available for humans, and poo bags, bins and water available for dogs.
Great dog park - the whole area is off lead. Well worth protecting from the rugby expansion across the road! Always furry friends around
Great place to relax, walk the dog (on and off leash areas). There is a greatly improved paved path that circles the park, and is pretty wheelchair ♿ friendly, as I am in a wheelchair, except for the amenities block which does not cater for the disabled/wheelchairs. I would like to have given 5 stars, but the council has removed the lovely picnic table area which used to be under a grand old Willow tree, which is still there.
