My partner and I stayed here last year and we absolutely loved it so this second time around, my whole family booked out 3 rooms for the weekend. Unfortunately this stay was not a good experience as we all found the doors slamming VERY loudly throughout the night. The doors aren’t soft close so any guest that doesn’t gently close their doors, it slams shut including the entrance door downstairs. It also didn't help that the guests around us were up all night going in and out of their rooms til 4 am but every time their doors shut, it was loud enough to shake the walls in our rooms. Such a shame because this hotel is great location ! Other than the doors being so loud and us having zero sleep, the rooms were clean and staff were very kind. Big thank you to the kind and patient man who helped us all check in too and helped fix up our bookings !

Great hotel, food, location and service. Room nicely renovated. However, not one ounce of sleep due to compressor outside window. It is so loud. Make sure you ask for a room over the street.

I used to come to this place often, it was my go to for a quick cheap feed getting a pub steak or a pub schnitty, but it has gone down hill a bit since the COVID times and it can be a bit hit and miss now, I am not saying the food is bad, it's not bad, there are far worse places to eat in Bankstown, it's just not what it used to be, it used to be the best place in Bankstown to get a schnitty or a steak, now there are better places to go for a feed, even just down the road at the RSL club, or across over at sporties. And it's similar with the pokies, every now and again you could get a win, but it seems since COVID winning is almost impossible, where before COVID you would regularly hear people winning while you are playing, that has had a drastic decrease, and from my own personal experience, this is the only place I have played since COVID that I still have not win anything, that's a good few years going every single week and still not a single win, in fact the last time I went was the final straw that did it for me, I went in and played the pokies, put $150 in machine and all I got was $3 returned all up in all pays, and I was only playing 1.50 and 60cent hits, so to got though $150 and get not a single pay higher than my bet, and a total of $3 in pays, that did it for me, that was the proof to me personally that all the horror stories I had heard were in fact true. I had heard stories, including one that there is another review in regards to, where people have put thousands through machines and don't even get wins equal to their bet.. Also reserving a machine in this place means absolutely nothing, it really is pointless, people just go and take the machine off reserve and play it and the staff don't do anything (though I cant really blame them when you see the way some people are in this place).. I must say it is better than the Bankstown Sports Hotel, that place has a tendency to discriminate, I was even told I am not allowed in that place because I suffer from mental health issues, which is blatant discrimination, I just say the staff here are much friendlier and helpful than down at the sports hotel..

Room was clean and cute. Location is great. However, could not sleep as so much noise from the air-conditioning machines, it was super loud. If you look for a place to also relax and have a good night of sleep, this place is not right, at least the room 17 that I was is terribly noisy. Shower was great, water pressure amazing.
