Dear Management, I am writing to formally complain about my past experiences at Belmore Pub, which caused me significant distress and financial loss. Because of these incidents, I have not returned to the venue for almost four years. Firstly, I was very disappointed with the service. On multiple occasions, I was asked to pay for basic items such as cold water, a cup of coffee, or small snacks like nuts. I found this unreasonable and not customer-friendly. Secondly, and more seriously, I experienced repeated incidents involving money missing from gaming machines. On one occasion, I left a few dollars in a machine briefly to go to the toilet. When I returned, the money had been withdrawn. This happened to me more than once. The final incident was extremely upsetting. I personally saw a staff member withdraw a ticket from my machine. When I questioned her about it, she denied taking my money and responded aggressively. Other staff members and security became involved and appeared to protect her without properly investigating my complaint. This made me feel unfairly treated and disrespected as a customer. I believe these situations reflect poor management, inadequate staff training, and a lack of proper customer service standards. I hope management will review these issues seriously to prevent similar experiences for other customers. Thank you for your time and attention. Kind regards, Kathy Lee

I had a very disappointing experience with the behaviour of a licensee at Belmore Hotel. He approached me and said there was “no loitering” and asked if I was playing. I explained that I do play sometimes, but not at that moment. He then responded by saying he hadn’t seen me play at all that day, which came across as if he had been monitoring me specifically. His tone was rude and condescending. He avoided eye contact and spoke in a dismissive, arrogant manner, which I found highly disrespectful. I pointed out that many people watch or stand around the venue, yet he chose to single me out, which felt unfair and inappropriate. After I walked away, I noticed him speaking to a security guard, but the guard did not take any action. The lack of professionalism, basic manners, and respect shown by this individual was unacceptable. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this venue.

I was passing by an thought I'd grab a beer and some lunch. I walked in and found the pub to be quite small, but okay. On the tables was a menu with simple foods like chicken pieces, and hamburgers. Seemed fair enough, so I walked to the bar and asked the man behind the bar, do I order food here? His response confused the hell out of me. He said, we don't have a bistro here. Oh, but I was just looking at a menu?? Yes. So... Do I order here? Do you want a chicken burger? No I want the beef burger. He looked at me confused again. Thinking that maybe I was going mad I picked up the menu on the bar and found the beef burger. I had to point it out to him. After reading other reviews, critical that there was no food, and looking closer at the menu, it seems that the management have partnered with a local burger and chicken place. A smart idea. But, it all falls flat when the staff have no idea what is going on. My guess is that this arrangement with the local takeaway is new. If so, take the time to train your staff.

My local pub is a real gem in the neighbourhood. Whether I’m popping in for a quick pint after work or spending a relaxed evening with friends, it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming — it feels like a second home. The staff are friendly and know many of the regulars by name, which adds a personal touch that bigger places just can’t match. There’s a solid selection of beers on tap, including some great local brews, and the prices are reasonable.

Had a fantastic experience at the Belmore Hotel! The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was exceptional. Big shoutout to Raj — one of the staff members — for going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming! It’s also a perfect place to enjoy some drinks and spend quality time with your loved ones. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food, great service, and a great vibe.
