What people say
I like it because it is really close to my campus, just across the street. First time coming here with my friends, I ordered chicken scnitzel with salad. The portion is so big and the salad,, it looks like they put the whole forest on your plate lol. Second time coming here with my family. We ordered burger, pizza and kids menu of chicken snitzel with chips. All is good except the burger. It was overcooked, bitter inside the bun so it ruin the flavor.
One of Sydney's hidden treasures. On the way to Newtown from Redfern station (right by carriageworks) lies this gem of a pub. They serve $18 Rumps, there's a condiments station with every hot sauce you can imagine, they have a plethora of screens for sporting events and special gatherings, there's even a weekly comedy show! The real win is when you interact with the staff. They're all lovely, jovial, and eager to serve a wide range of cheap beverages. There's happy hour, student pricing, and daily specials. Leave your car, take an uber home.
Extremely overpriced compared to all major liquor retailers. I paid $30 for a bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc, which usually costs $18–$22 elsewhere. No visible pricing in-store, and the staff only mentioned the price at checkout. Feels like they’re taking advantage of convenience and customers not checking prices. I won’t be returning.
The BEST PUB in all the lands. spent numerous hours here, and even more money. cheap and delicious food, especially the spag bowl. their tooheys and bundy are top notch! Will definitely keep coming here...
Tried the prawn linguine honestly, it hit the spot. The pasta was cooked just right, and there were plenty of prawns — big, juicy, and full of flavour. The sauce had a nice garlic and chili kick a solid choice if you're after something tasty.
