Thought a quick bite to eat at The Village for a change was in order. This was the biggest mistake a regret of my life. I ordered the Village Burger......... Do NOT, I repeat do NOT order this. 2 beef patties?? These were more like 2 tins of Cat food fried on the grill smothered with cheese and sauce to hide the fact that they are NOT beef patties. Please have some pride in your food and your cooking. It is clear that there currently is none at The Village. Couldn't even do cook your own burgers at The Village because they would use the same patties. Not sure what the rest of the food is like, but if this staple item is so awful, I can't imagine what the rest is like. Also in the case of your bistro service.. what service?! The server mumble and could hardly be heard and the bistro was not busy or loud. If you can't produce the proper service to your customers then you either shouldn't be in hospitality or business. The only good thing about this experience was that the beer garden was clean. I would honestly give a zero, but 1/5 was the lowest allowed. ** as you can see the real mature response from the owner. Clearly cant take negative feedback. Do better and then you wouldn't get reviews like this one. To the owner, I didn't eat the burger, it was left on the plate on the table. Clearly you read someone else's 80 reviews, because I give out mainly 5 stars. Check again besides 1 other place years ago, youre the only 1 star From a very happy camper 🤣

this was a childhood place to come with the family and cook your own steak. prices are cheap as beautiful food and great atmosphere. staff are extremely friendly and approachable all the time. i’ve never had any complaints. the cook your own steak is what this place is known for! at a cheap price as well as stacking your plate with choices of chips, salad, pasta and sauce. their mushroom gravy is the best i’ve had from anywhere no place else can beat it. the chicken snitchel is never a miss always tastes amazing and portion sizes are always generous. definitely recommend to take the family down there and enjoy a nice meal for a good price. you won’t regret it!

Well today was my first experience. Its very different as you dont just simply order and wait for your food. Instead you get to decide from a choice of steaks pork and chicken as to what you want to cook. I loved that I got to choose what meat I wanted .so different. Its right in front of you and staff very quick to serve and so very friendly and helpful. Its a great way of meeting friends and having a BBQ away from home i suppose. The extras you get are plenty and your given heaps even though you dont actualy dish out your own. I loved this place. Im not a pub person but I will go back again with my friends.

Was driving to another destination for lunch and saw this place so decided to stop and give it a try. Glad we did because it did not disappoint. Excellent sized portions and very reasonably priced. We both ordered chicken schnitzel and garlic bread (one with mash n veggies and one with chips n salad). The schnittys were huge! We actually took half the schnittys home for dinner as we couldn’t finish them at lunch. (We both love food and can eat quite alot lol 😂). Kids eat free on a Monday n you can also cook your own steaks etc if you wish. There is indoor and outdoor dining areas. Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Will be back again.

We had a fantastic experience at Village Hotel when we went for dinner with our friends. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. We ordered steak with salad, and it was absolutely delicious! One of the highlights was being able to cook the steak ourselves on the fire – such a fun and interactive experience! It was a lovely evening shared with my hubby and our friends. The place has a superb vibe – cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxed outing. We truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!
