Sandbar and Restaurant is a pub in Evans Head with an outdoor area. Dog access isn't confirmed, but venues with an outdoor area are often dog friendly, so it may be worth checking.
We had a family lunch for 12 yesterday and it was great... awesome view, food and service..nothing was an issue for staff.. Food and drinks were great, I think we tried almost the entire menu.. Definitely recommend..
Service was good, they accommodated our needs, drinks were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Meals were nice, served hot with good customer service. I’d definitely recommend this place, spectacular location and with an easterly breeze makes a delightful experience. The weather gods blessed us this day! Again definitely give it a go, slow paced, good food, lovely staff.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. I paid cash for two meals for my children and was later publically accused of not paying for one!!! This was humiliating, especially in front of 15 friends and family who were also spending a lot of money there! The manager was rude, dismissive and completely unprofessional. He made me feel dishonest and untrusted. The lack of basic customer service and competence was shocking. This situation was entirely their error, yet I was treated like a problem. I will never be returning. After years of supporting the associated venue The Bowlo… and spending thousands of dollars in food, beverages and waterslide entry… it is exceptionally disappointing to have come here for the second night running and to then be treated like that. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone who expects respectful treatment. Never have I been made to feel like this. I’d suggest a review of customer service levels, a course in business management and also install CCTV so that honest customers can be assured of proof of payment.
Sandbar Cafe is perfect for breakfast, bacon and egg roll or a ham and cheese croissant. Plenty of drink choices apart from tea and coffee. Think it opens around 6.30 am. Also, try the restaurant, nice spot, plenty of sea breeze, friendly staff. Loved the menu. I can't remember what I had but will be back. Could be a good idea to book as it does get busy.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
